The Challenge
Four sites were running a persistent nursing shortfall, covered by last-minute bookings through multiple agencies at premium rates. Compliance documentation arrived inconsistently, sometimes after a shift had already been worked, and the group had no single view of who was cleared to work where.
Our Solution
We built a dedicated bank for the group, pre-checking registration, mandatory training, and right to work before anyone entered it, and we took over the booking process across all four sites. Longer term we ran a parallel permanent campaign to convert the most reliable bank staff into substantive posts.
The Results
Full rota coverage was achieved within three weeks and has been sustained since. Consolidating supply and converting bank staff to permanent reduced overall agency spend by 31%, and every worker now has a complete, in-date compliance file before their first shift.
